Sumeeth Singh is VMware’s Cloud Provider Manager for the Sub-Saharan Africa region. He is responsible for building and growing the VMware cloud footprint within the territory by enabling VMware Cloud Provider partners with the strategic and technical input required to grow their businesses. He leverages his over 20-year experience, knowledge and understanding of multi-cloud, business strategy and sales development, coupled with his critical and analytical thinking skills, to help cross-functional teams and customers embrace the transformative and disruptive thinking required for cloud success.

Passionate about partner enablement, he is an all-rounder in the IT industry and formerly held senior roles at Telkom and BCX. Sumeeth drove the strategy and build of one of the largest VMware Clouds in South Africa, spanning multiple geographically dispersed datacentres. A regular speaker and cloud evangelist, he draws from industry trends and learned experience to help partners address business needs with appropriate IT and cloud solutions. Further, he provides sales consultation services through opportunity identification and monitoring activities to identify potential risks and execute risk mitigation plans.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Witwatersrand and completed the Future Leaders in Digital Business programme at the Wits Business School, amongst various other industry certifications.

Sumeeth is a philanthropist in his community, offering his spare time to tutoring and mentoring the youth. When not driving cloud enablement and cloud development for his partners, Sumeeth, his wife, and son enjoy travelling, learning about new cultures, new experiences and connecting with people.

Sumeeth is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he engages with customers and partners across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
