ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Banquet 2023

It’s 2023, and the 4th Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0, is in full swing. 4IR encompasses IoT, big data analytics, cloud computing, robotic process automation, and artificial intelligence, among others. And there’s no denying that these technologies are changing the world. The CIO is front and centre in having to manage the integration of these myriad technologies in their organisations, as well as mitigating the accompanying risks.

So what are the CIO’s pain points? A lack of specialist skills, for one. CIOs cite losing skills to emigration or poaching by other companies as a major headache, while the new opportunities brought about by remote working have also thinned out the IT talent pool in South Africa.

Understanding how these issues and challenges are being thought about and dealt with is vital to trying to figure out how the space will evolve going forwards. With over 200 verified local CIOs completing this survey last year, the ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Survey is the definitive benchmark study to gauge what trends South Africa’s technology decision-making community is dealing with and the outlook for the years ahead. To celebrate the work of the CIO and to reveal some of the top findings of this important piece of research, ITWeb Brainstorm is proud to announce the annual prestigious CIO Banquet.

This exclusive event is the event of the year for the technology industry, with many of the country’s top C-Suite technology decision-makers in attendance. Don’t miss the chance to attend this prestigious event, hear the key research findings and network with the country’s leading technology minds.

ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Survey 2022 / 2023

The ITWeb Brainstorm CIO Survey, run in partnership with MTN Business, is now in its 14th year.

The Inanda Club was founded in 1934 with the purpose of providing a home for equestrian sports. The club was located in, what was then, the countryside north of Rosebank and it is doubtful that the founders imagined that the area would become the commercial CBD of Africa. However urbanisation followed those pioneers and rather than being swamped by development, the Inanda Club has evolved the Sandton venue into a modern city club with a distinct equestrian and country character. This town club, combined with the Inanda Country Base in Kyalami, provides premier equestrian facilities fulfilling the objectives of the founding sections of Polo and the Rand Hunt.
