Wanda Matandela, chief commercial operations officer at MTN, brings a wealth of knowledge in managing broad-scale operations in the ICT and financial services sectors, as well as extensive expertise with public sector engagement and leading across functional teams. A seasoned business executive with over 15 years' experience in leading and managing B2C and B2B businesses in the South African and African markets, Matandela joins us from Ster-Kinekor, where he held the position of CEO. Prior to joining Ster-Kinekor, he was with Vodacom, where he led different functions, the latest being MD: Small and Medium Business. Other roles include regional MD (regional network and commercial operations), where he was responsible for the KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Gauteng regions. Before Vodacom, he was division CEO for Wesbank.
