Mandla Ngcobo is the deputy director-general: CIO at the Department of Public Service and Administration. He has 19 years' experience in the public sector and five years in the private sector. Ngcobo has a vast understanding of corporate governance, including experience in the formulation and implementation of IT governance processes, policies and structures. Before joining the Department of Public Service and Administration, Ngcobo was CIO at the Department of Labour. Prior to that, he was director: Information Technology at the Department of Health, and was also a senior specialist in risk management at the Vodacom Group.
