Rodney is an experienced senior executive, having spent 12 years in the public sector, first as Director of IT, then as CIO, serving SA embassies and consulates in 127 countries globally, within DIRCO.

He spent 15 years in Financial, Technology and Software organisations with a strong record of achieving and over- achieving results. He has led multinational organisations of up to 120 people, $320 million turnover and $80million profit.

Positions include Chief Executive Officer, Director of Sales, Business Development and Strategy Director roles within South Africa, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Rodney currently serves as non-executive board member to the Universities of JHB and Rhodes. At UJ, he provide's strategic guidance to the Technopreneurship Centre, that provides insight to the skills of the students and graduates sought by industry in SA and beyond.

As the Rhodes ICT Advisory Board, we provide input, guidance and shaping brilliant minds from academia to a new fast paced digital era. Rodney also tutored the IS Honors Class of 2023 as a visiting lecturer at Rhodes.

Rodney regularly facilitate's and moderate's Brainstorm’s monthly CIO-Roundtables. Discussion topics such as; Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data-Centers, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS Managed Solutions, Journey-2-Cloud, Cyber-Security, FinTech and other.

He does massive research and enjoy's the writing of technical articles on blogs and ICT business platforms. Rodney develops strategy models, provides expert advice and writes technical articles.
