Paul Maddison has served as manager, consultant and managing director in the property and contract management industries since 1981. He has also been active in the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA), chairing CIBA, the commercial brokers committee, initiating the SAPOA vacancy statistics quarterly surveys, designing and establishing the year-long certificate for the property practitioner course in conjunction with the University of Pretoria. He holds a BSc (Building) degree from Wits and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. The importance of using technology for business benefit is a key driver in his business approach, which contributed to the development of SA’s leading property lease management tool, and recently the more generic contract management software solution. Maddison is MD of Realyst, a company specialising in e-business contract management.
