Tom Cleveland has had an extensive career in the international payments industry, with over 30 years of experience in executive management, corporate governance and business development. Cleveland served as CFO for various Visa International entities from 1980 until 1999, retiring with the title of group EVP and treasurer. While at Visa, Cleveland was instrumental in expanding the global reach of the Visa system, working at times with leaders from the major banks in Johannesburg. He fondly recalls his visits to Jo’burg, Cape Town, and Kruger National Park. Today, Cleveland owns a consulting practice and writes financial articles on behalf of the ForexTraders Web site.
