Pierre van Aswegen commenced his career in the telecommunications industry at Telkom in 1987. He obtained his N6 National Diploma in telecommunications in 1990, serving in Telkom’s Carrier Division.
He joined Interconnect Systems in 1991 and specialised in fibre optics, becoming a highly-skilled technician in that discipline. In his early years at Interconnect, he was exposed to the data cabling industry, which was in its infancy. He was part of the design and implementation of many data cabling solutions and acquired extensive knowledge of infrastructure architecture, sales, key account management and operational management.
Van Aswegen is a director and shareholder of Interconnect Systems and a member of the executive management team. He is responsible for strategic operational decision-making, ensuring the company stays abreast of continual market shifts and changes. He is responsible for driving the quality and standard of work in Interconnect.Articles
