Unicentrix has introduced a mobile logbook that helps sales reps and travelling business professionals log their business mileage for tax purposes.

According to Brad Hall, CEO of Unicentrix, EasyLog lets users record their mileage on their mobile phones, using satellite tracking. After each trip, EasyLog transfers the collected data to a Web platform, where it can be saved into tax logbook format.

The app is free, but users are charged to access the platform. According to Unicentrix, this works out to roughly R600 a year.

Hall says EasyLog is available on Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, Bada and Windows Mobile platforms. He adds that the iPhone and iPad apps are currently sitting with the Apple iStore and he anticipates that they will be unveiled within a few days.
