This relatively quiet week in numbers is perked up by interesting advertisements from the Department of Communications and the State IT Agency, which still managed to squeeze in a tender cancellation.

The DOC revealed it is embarking on an evaluation of both the corporate governance practices and articles of state-owned entities SABC, SAPO, Sentech, USAASA, USAF and Nemisa; while SITA resuscitates the dream of the major government tender with a mention of the infamous Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) project.

The big winner, though, is Aptronics, which walked away with a R24.5 million deal from the State Security Agency that proceeded without SITA's involvement.

Department of Defence
The Logistic Support Formation requires the upgrading of its security system. Bid documents will only be available through the Central Procurement Service Centre. Alternatively, a self-addressed and stamped envelope R17.55 (E3 size) can be sent to this centre.
