Telspace Africa is a leading South African information security provider that has always had a strong focus on giving back to the community through various charity initiatives as well as through sponsorships of community events both locally and internationally. Telspace also runs training bootcamps/internships throughout the year as a way to build skills within the industry.
“It has become an annual custom for us to give out Telspace t-shirts at our stand while exhibiting at the ITWeb Security Summit and to use this initiative to raise funds for charity – we will once again be doing this at this year’s summit,” says Dr Manuel Corregedor, CEO of Telspace Africa.
“This year we have partnered with Africa Food for Thought, a charity that has, for the past 16 years, provided food security to thousands of children on the West Rand of Johannesburg through partnerships with local schools, aftercare programmes, early childhood development centres and vulnerable individual families,” he says.
“With the severe ongoing economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this is an initiative that we are very passionate about. We therefore encourage delegates to visit our stand and present their coupon for their t-shirt,” says Tim Quintal, COO of Telspace Africa.
“Delegates will be asked to make a donation of any size to Africa Food for Thought and thereafter will be given their t-shirt. Telspace will donate R50 to Africa Food for Thought for every t-shirt taken,” he says.
