Tech-Pro Personnel has recently been awarded the certificate of Implementation with Excellence for its roll-out of the Entelect Recruitment Management System.
Tech-Pro, a company under the AdvTech Group, specialises in sourcing and placing supply chain management professionals. It had developed its own recruitment management system aimed at assisting their back-office operation. The company experienced the typical difficulties associated with managing an internally developed system, namely costly enhancements, poor service, total reliance on the vendor and lack of economies of scale for enhancements. Tech-Pro had the requirement to introduce a rich candidate Web experience, and the development of such an interface was proving to be prohibitively expensive. Tech-Pro, having been an agency operating for some 11 years has had the benefit of being exposed to numerous recruitment and e-recruitment systems. Managing Director of Tech-Pro, Priscilla Gibson, says that the company had given up the search for an off-the-shelf option until they came across Entelect.
Entelect (www.entelect.co.za) is a software development house based in Melrose Arch, employing some 50 developers. Besides executing large bespoke development projects for numerous blue-chip clients, Entelect also has included in it's arsenal of products a Club Management System , an Event Management System, and the Recruitment Management System. Director Christopher Comodikes, puts the success of the Entelect Recruitment Management System down to the fact that it was developed to address Entelect's own placement needs and took shape with the close interaction between the recruitment consultants and the software developers. "The feedback that we have received is that no other system in the market offers the level of candidate interface and interaction that Entelect offers," stated Comodikes.
The award for Excellence in Implementation is based on:
* consultant adoption, and
* candidate adoption.
In the four months since Tech-Pro went live in May 2008, the company:
* has had its database grow by 1 500 new quality candidates;
* is experiencing 1 000 new job applications per month; and
* 1 200 candidate logins per month. This candidate zone activity is driven by the 75 supply chain speciality active and real jobs posted through the seamlessly integrated back-office.
Candidate feedback is that at http://www.tech-pro.co.za they know that the jobs are real and live, unlike so many other agency Web sites. Further, candidates can have their own account through which they are able to self-serve to apply for jobs and track the status of each job application.
Gibson says that the implementation has added to the virtuous circle of attracting quality candidates to a site where quality jobs are advertised, ensuring that ultimately both the candidate and the client win.
