ICT solutions provider T‑Systems SA has appointed Mardi Van Der Walt‑Korsten as its acting CEO.
She replaces Wolfgang Jakob. The appointment is effective from 16 September.
"Wolfgang has been re-evaluating his role as CEO for some time and decided to pursue his own interests," says Ron`ell Stutzer, marketing and communications director at T‑Systems.
Van Der Walt‑Korsten was appointed the company`s deputy CEO in February 2005. She has worked for T‑Systems for the last eight years.
"It is with great confidence that I assume this position and with the support of my executive committee, a firm commitment from T-Systems International and most importantly the support of our valued employees and customers, I am confident about the future for the company in SA," says Van Der Walt‑Korsten.
