“Softline VIP's Premier HR solution is a wonderful system, which has solved many of our reporting and record keeping problems,” says Auto Trader HR Manager Ronelle James.

Auto Trader has used Softline VIP's payroll solution for the past seven years, but many aspects of the human resources function were still completed manually and paper driven. “We decided to go with Softline VIP because we already had an existing relationship with them, and they are the market leaders in HR and payroll solutions,” says James. The implementation process started in early 2010. “The transition to the new system was a bit difficult, as establishing any new processes are, but we had a Softline VIP site consultant to help us work through any problems or questions we had, and it was all worth it in order to realise our goal of going digital,” says James. The company is still in the process of rolling out the leave-tracking module and is also building a performance management system at the moment, and plans to implement the employee self-service module in 2011.
“We are now able to track everything that goes on in HR, including our goals and budgets and can see if we are on our way to achieving them. No more manual labour, as everything is in a central location and literally at our fingertips and not in a file somewhere, so we don't lose sight of things,” says James.
