Singapore to initiate $936m ICT tenders

The Singapore government is set to initiate ICT tenders worth $936.7 million this financial year covering data analytics, e-services and business process management, ZDNet reports.

James Kang, assistant chief executive of government chief information office for Singapore's ICT regulator, Infocomm Development Authority (IDA), says the government will also pilot a new process to acquire innovative ICT solutions and evaluate working prototypes.

The IDA claims the investment would help to enhance operational efficiency and productivity within the public sector as well as improve public service delivery to citizens and provide business opportunities to the ICT industry, Channel News Asia.com states.

The government has also put out a call for collaboration, which invites the industry to use government data to develop solutions to raise productivity or create new business value.

The government expects its private cloud infrastructure, G-Cloud, to be ready as a serve by end of this year, Future Gov says.

And IDA will continue to procure various software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service solutions.
