Microdasys and Seven Days Technologies announced that Seven Days Technologies will distribute Microdasys' portfolio of enterprise security solutions in Africa.
"By adding the Microdasys solutions to our data protection strategy, we can now offer partners and customers complete end-to-end data protection using best-of-breed products," said Sean Glansbeek, MD of Seven Days Technologies.
Furthermore: “Nowadays, corporations are hit from both sides, they are constantly faced with data security breaches and are also faced with having to continuously comply with various acts and strict regulations. If one does not have a well thought out plan, then there will always be a back door for data to be breached or stolen. We feel Microdasys completes this cycle and is important to any corporation's overall data protection strategy and is strategic to the various compliance acts and regulations.”
The ongoing adoption of cloud computing and Web 2.0 technologies in enterprises and government agencies is adding to the security challenges that security administrators are facing today. SSL encryption, XML/SOAP, RSS feeds and Web services will continue to grow exponentially, while traditional content scanners and firewalls are incapable of inspecting these protocols and applications. Microdasys products enable the adoption and safe use of SSL encryption and XML/SOAP applications in the enterprise network.
"We are very excited to add Seven Days Technologies to our family of partners," said Karl Altmann, CEO of Microdays. "As the pioneers of SSL content scanning we enjoy continued high demand for our SCIP SSL Content Proxy, and with the recent release of our XSG XML Security Gateway, we needed a highly qualified distribution partner to assist and support our channel partners and end-users in Africa and Indian Ocean Islands. Seven Days has a proven track record of successfully bringing new technologies to these regions, and we're looking forward to a very successful partnership for the benefit of our customers."
