Security training a must - research

UK businesses need to train their staff to protect themselves from Web-based security threats, according to Internet campaign group Get Safe Online, states Computeach.

The comments come after research from ISACA revealed that there has been an increase in the number of employees who are compromising their online security while using their work computer for online shopping.

Further IT training on the risks involved in seemingly harmless acts such as clicking on e-mail links or sharing their work e-mail address while making purchases online must be passed on, said the campaign group.

Programme to address billing challenges

To address the challenges presented by health care billing, Evolve e-Learning Solutions, a business training solutions provider, has unveiled the Revenue Cycle Education Programme, writes the NS News.

“This online training programme was developed to help health care providers with billing and health care reimbursement,” says Preston Stiner, president of Evolve.

“Billing requirements get pretty complex, and there's not a lot of training out there. Most people learn by watching existing employees, which can result in a lot of mistakes.”

RAB debuts sales managers' training

The RAB debuts the Certified Radio Sales Manager Course, an online application and platform offering training and skills development for sales managers, reports Radio Ink.

The program, available to RAB member stations, covers management and leadership, compensation, inventory pricing, budgeting, and more, in 20- to 25-minute segments.

"Due to an intense sales marketplace, radio's top-billing salespeople are often promoted to sales manager with little training or preparation," RAB VP of Interactive Business Development John Potter says.
