ProScan launches Datamax E-4204 thermal printer in SA

Johannesburg, 26 Feb 2009

ProScan Media Products (PMP), part of the Media Division of the ProScan Group, announced the availability of the new Datamax E-4204 thermal and thermal transfer printer, offering superior print speed, fewer reloading interruptions and lower label costs.

The new Datamax E4203 replaces its predecessor, the E-4203 desktop printer, promising improved performance, higher capacity and 60% more labels on a roll, resulting in cost and time savings.

The new model comes standard with a top cover that supports a thermal transfer upgrade, and allows for a 5-inch media roll.

Roland Pinz, PMP's Divisional Director, comments: "The entry level Datamax E-Class performs in a wide range of environments, from office and retail to light industrial locations. E-Class printers are capable of printing a wide variety of labels in applications ranging from small office shipping requirements to compliance and general-purpose product identification labels and tags.

"The E-Class series of printers has been very successful in South Africa and we have sold large volumes. We expect the new E-Class to be even more popular due to the added features, and expect record sales in the FMCG and transport and logistics sectors. Although aimed at entry level, performance applications, the E-Class can print complex transportation symbols and label formats in direct thermal or thermal transfer configurations. The range is available with an options list developed to suit virtually any low to medium volume label printing application."
