Mpumalanga-based IT consultancy Nkgwete IT Solutions is proud to announce the company has been awarded Eskom’s End-User Computing Regional Contract, for a period of five years effective from 1 February 2020.
According to Managing Director Siddika Osman: “The awarding of this contract is the result of our excellent operational track record, our sterling corporate governance reputation and the excellent submission that we prepared. It is also a result of Nkgwete negotiating with transparency, integrity and in good faith – taking Eskom, Nkgwete and South Africa into consideration.”
Nkgwete has delivered IT services to regional Eskom sites since its adoption into T-Systems’ ESD initiative in 2013. To date, the B-BBEE level one female-managed company has also developed an impactful corporate social responsibility programme that includes strategic partnerships with the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), a partner of the Microsoft Student to Business Program, and patronage of secondary schools in Mpumalanga.
Osman says: “Nkgwete looks forward furthering its vision of ‘unlocking Africa’s pulse through technology‘ through our Eskom partnership. South Africa is alive with possibilities and this development is testament to the success of supplier development and localisation, which enables SME job creation.”
