New self service solutions
Nigeria's CWL Systems, the hardware subsidiary of ICT company Computer Warehouse Group, and Wincor Nixdorf have unveiled new systems that automate cheque and cash deposits, reports This Day.
Innovative terminals read handwritten cheques and deposit slips, provide on-screen confirmation of the details, complete the credit transaction and print a customer receipt.
The same Wincor Nixdorf systems can handle cash - identifying both notes and coins - providing a fully automated deposit service. The Wincor Nixdorf automated deposit terminals automate and reduce time-consuming manual transactions by removing work from the bank's cashier desks, help to cut staffing costs, and offer a rapid and reliable service to customers.
Self-service photo-library released
The UK University of Gloucestershire's central marketing department released its new LogicMighty PhotoLibrary, reports Newswire Today. Some 5 000 photographs are shared with staff over four campuses for their own marketing activities via the university intranet.
The system works on PCs and Apple Macs and is designed for non-technical users. A variety of digital assets are available and statistics show the most popular downloaded images are photos and logos.
Staff in central marketing used to find managing and distributing photos time consuming and labour intensive. Now PhotoLibrary software installed on a university server allows privileged users to search for content using a consistent set of keywords and categories. The new self-service PhotoLibrary is speedy and flexible, provides a wider selection of photos and complies with branding guidelines for marketing campaigns.
