In an impressive roll-out, Oracle implementation partner and member of the EOH Group of Companies, Navigor implemented a roll-out of an Oracle financial solution in seven weeks for new mobile service provider in South Africa, Virgin Mobile.
Navigor achieved the impossible for the country`s newest mobile competitor after being awarded the contract via a tender process.
"To implement and integrate an Oracle Financials solution in the aggressive timeframes demanded for our launch, we knew that we had to find an implementation partner that was credible. Navigor was the best team in ensuring that Virgin Mobile launched successfully, without compromise to quality or functionality requirements," says Nick Gatland, chief operating officer, Virgin Mobile.
With the launch of Virgin Mobile services across the country, the company has challenged the market and offered South African customers great value, flexibility and high levels of service.
"Navigor`s solution included the implementation of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Purchasing and iProcurement modules of Oracle. We also had to integrate with Virgin Mobile`s Point of Sale and CRM systems. The technical work, including data conversion and print documents also had to be completed," says Ken Cullinan, executive director, EOH.
Cullinan says Virgin Mobile went through a strenuous process, selecting the most suitable solution as well as the most skilled business partner to implement the selected solution. "Oracle eBusiness Suite proved to be the best fit for their requirements and Navigor offered the most suited approach and skill set to meet the tight deadlines before the launch of Virgin Mobile in South Africa."
Cullinan also believes that scalability was another critical component of the solution. "Essentially, Virgin Mobile was a start-up in South Africa with massive growth potential. It was vital that our solution would provide scalability and flexibility for its impending growth."
He says there are exciting opportunities to grow the service offering in the near future and that Navigor has already signed a three-year service level agreement with Virgin Mobile. "One of the recipes for success is our partnership approach. We worked with Virgin Mobile to identify the best possible solution and together, decided the best way forward. This collaboration was vital to the ultimate and long-term success of a project of this magnitude."
