Internet service provider (ISP) MWeb today announced its high-speed fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) rollout and pricing, in line with planned fibre line rollout by Telkom.

MWeb says it will offer customers access to FTTH lines across SA, along with its data services and pricing packages.

This follows a recent announcement by the ISP that it would also work with private fibre provider Vumatel to bring its services to areas in Gauteng and the Western Cape.

"We are particularly excited about the 100GB @100Mbps for R1 199 per month package, which will be ideal for those customers who live always-connected lives," says MWeb GM Carolyn Holgate.

Holgate notes FTTH is especially suited to people who use the Internet for entertainment, such as gaming and downloading content, as well as for those who use VOIP or work remotely, as it makes high-speed Internet attainable at more affordable prices.
