Mobicred, South Africa's first online revolving credit product for e-commerce, has finalised a deal with VCS (Virtual Card Services) that will allow all VCS merchants to offer point of sale credit to their customers.
As a result of the integration being done directly between the two parties, there is zero development required by the VCS merchant.
Geraldine Anderson, Director of Mobicred, agreed this is the most effective way for small and medium-sized merchants to integrate. "Many online merchants prefer as easy an integration process as possible, hence partnering with a gateway such as VCS continues to work for the industry," says Anderson.
Offering a credit option has proven to provide incremental revenue lift to all online merchants, much the same as the brick and mortar stores have enjoyed over many years. With customers able to pay in easy monthly instalments, budgeting for online shopping becomes a pleasure.
Mobicred has integrated with other payment gateways also, as well as Takealot, bidorbuy, Superbalist, Incredible Connection and hundreds of other stores.
The customer base is growing very quickly, as customers enjoy the security aspect of shopping without using a credit card.
