M-Web has announced the promotion of Andrew Milne to CEO. The appointment is effective from the beginning of August.
Milne, who takes over from Antonie Roux, was previously M-Web`s COO. The move follows Roux`s promotion to head the group`s Internet initiatives and subsequent relocation to Bangkok. Milne will continue to report to Roux.
"Andrew has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of M-Web since February - a mandate that he has embraced with enthusiasm and passion," says Roux.
He says Milne`s international experience will stand him in good stead for his new role. "Andrew has a wealth of experience and an in-depth knowledge of our customers, the technology and M-Web`s business processes. As a pivotal member of the management team for five years, Andrew has helped steer M-Web through the Internet industry`s highs and lows.
"I am confident that he will approach M-Web`s next phase of growth with the same analytical and unflappable style he has shown to date. This will be critical as M-Web continues to evolve to deliver Internet services in the business and consumer arena."
Milne says he is energised by the challenge his new position presents.
