Migrate While Active kicks off

Vision Solutions, a high availability and disaster recovery solutions provider in IBM Power Systems markets, has introduced Migrate While Active Quick Start, reports CNNMoney.

Migrate While Active Quick Start is a time-saving, no-downtime service for companies requiring hardware, operating system or third-party application upgrades or migrations.

Generally, upgrades and migrations happen during off-hours to avoid business disruptions during the day. With Migrate While Active, IT departments are no longer restricted to nights or weekends to keep their systems updated.

Security Benefit selects CoSentry

Security Benefit, a Kansas-based financial services institution, has tapped CoSentry Business Resiliency Networks to help the firm increase its level of protection while lowering the total cost of its business continuity programme, according to PRNewswire.

"In recent days, we have seen how keeping financial institutions up and running is fundamental to the economy and how catastrophic events can disrupt the flow of business on a major scale," stated Manny Quevedo, VP of business development for CoSentry.

"CoSentry is a global business resiliency leader that can help financial institutions like Security Benefit maintain the highest levels of availability no matter what," he added.

Sterling chooses IT-Lifeline

Sterling Savings Bank has chosen IT-Lifeline, a provider of disaster recovery and business continuity services for small to medium-sized enterprises in the Pacific Northwest, as its workplace recovery centre, states Market Watch.

IT-Lifeline offers a solution for institutions looking to improve their current disaster recovery plans and processes or to start the process from the beginning.

The company led Sterling Savings Bank through the business continuity planning process, in which risks, both internal and external, were evaluated.
