Names Danie Nortje as solutions engineer

Micromuse Inc, the leading provider of ultra-scalable, real-time business and service assurance software, has announced that Danie Nortje has been appointed as solutions engineer for South Africa.

He joins Micromuse from Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, where he was involved with the deployment of the MTN 3G service delivery platform, among other projects.

Nortje has been actively involved in the ICT industry since 1994 and while at Accenture, consulted for organisations in the government sector, financial services, resources and most recently in the telecommunications industry.

"We feel confident that Danie will make significant strides in supporting our growing business in the region," said Eric Jorgenson, Micromuse`s Director for the Africa region.

"Danie offers so much valuable experience and insight into the IT and telecommunications industry that will undoubtedly stand our efforts in good stead."

Commenting on his appointment, Nortje says he will focus his efforts on the telecommunications industry and growing Micromuse`s reach into other public sector businesses.
