Customer management specialist Merchants, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dimension Data Plc, is to be re-branded as Dimension Data Customer Contact Solutions.
Says MD, Adam Craker: "With Dimension Data`s significant global expansion, there are tremendous benefits for the group in establishing a single global brand. Given this strategy, the group has taken the decision to consolidate the numerous brands that currently form part of the Dimension Data Group into a common Dimension Data brand.
In line with this global strategy, Merchants will be re-branded as Dimension Data and represented by the well-known green triangle logo.
Says Craker: "Our operational focus and business offering remain exactly the same. As a business unit, we will be known as Customer Contact Solutions."
This re-branding applies to the Merchants operations in South Africa, UK, Ireland and Australia.
In South Africa, Merchants has established the country`s only fully Web-enabled customer contact centre, growing from 10 employees in March to a staff complement of over 200 people. Merchants currently operates customer contact capabilities for 14 client organisations, providing a range of interactive skills.
Says Craker: "A closer alignment to the broad array of capabilities within Dimension Data will allow us to introduce new and innovative solution offerings to our customers."
