Star Micronics, distributed exclusively by The Printer Distribution Company in southern Africa, once again leads the field in POS innovation for retail, with the launch of the first POS printer with five traditional and unique interfaces and multiple hub functionality.
Ever mindful that retailers are looking for sustainability, Star offers the unique solution with 80mm and 58mm print width models. This accompanies Star innovation in both traditional and tablet POS solutions, with the first AirPrint POS printer as well as the first USB Lightning POS printer to provide direct communication and charging via the Apple-supplied lightning cable.
"Combining sophistication with high functionality, Star's mC-Print2 and mC-Print3 receipt printers, part of Star's new mCollection, have been designed to aesthetically match the sleek, modern design of tomorrow's retail and hospitality environments," says Daniel Alberts, Star Micronics Product Manager at The Printer Distribution Company.
The super-compact, front-feed receipt printers offer high-quality printing and exceptional functionality with up to five interfaces, including Star CloudPRNT as well as hub functionality, controlling select USB peripherals attached to the printer, including Cash Drawer, Scanner and Customer Display.
The mC-Print3 is a compact, versatile 80mm receipt printer ideal for businesses operating traditional PC POS systems as well as those migrating to tablet and Web-based POS.
With front feed and front paper loading and an IPX2 rated splash proof design, the mC-Print3 also ticks all the boxes for today's expectations in kitchens, bars and other demanding hospitality environments, including integration into self-service kiosks.
Star CloudPRNT provides intelligent printing from a Web server from any network to Star printers anywhere in the world, without the need for a local POS teminal enabling unparalleled flexibility for remote receipt and remote order printing using a standard receipt printer.
All of the mC-Print series is cloud-ready.
