Sheet metal fabrication, machining, manufacturing and heavy duty engineering company Efficient Engineering has contracted 4most, a leading SAP Business One ERP business software and technology solutions supplier and implementer, to supply, install and integrate SAP Business One at its head office and manufacturing plant at Elandsfontein, east of Johannesburg.
The SAP Business One solution from 4most will include financials, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook, purchasing, sales inventory, material requirements planning (MRP), and production with time and attendance integration. Important functionality includes time and attendance monitoring and job costing.
“Workflow approval procedures and alerts are an important feature of the installation and our solution will also provide CRM functionality within the SAP Business one Integration with MS Office,” said 4most national sales manager Alex Viviers.
“The solution will provide a real-time system with real-time requirements per project for production, including material requirements planning (MRP) and forecasting to ensure stock availability throughout each project production cycle.”
Viviers added that approval procedures will provide more control to prevent over-stocking or unnecessary purchases on each project. The API (application product interface) within SAP Business One will offer integration with MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PDF and Calendar. The software will also be integrated into a time and attendance system written by the JSE-listed information and communications technology company, GijimaAST.
The 4most SAP solution will also offer LAN and remote access facilities through terminal servers, full ERP functionality and a fully integrated IT environment, which eliminates manual data capturing. The system is expected to go live at the end of March 2010.
