Sandton-based turnkey property development and dynamic lifestyle specialist MKB has contracted mid-market ERP business and technology solutions supplier and implementer Lorge to supply, implement and commission a SAP Business One financial software solution.
The contract also involves the consolidation of the accounts and financials of more than 10 professional divisions providing a range of services, including turnkey property development, engineering, project management, architectural design, interior design, shop fitting and electrical contracting, among others.
MKB is a formidable player in Johannesburg`s property sector and is led by its founding directors, Jonathan Molyneux-Killik and Andrew Botha.
Their vibrant approach filters through every aspect of the business. MKB`s Chief Financial Officer, Botha, said the company had recently made exciting new acquisitions and insists that all new companies joining the group implement SAP Business One to maintain the required high standard of professionalism. "We use SAP across all of our business divisions, at our construction sites and in mobile applications to ensure control and swift response to customers."
Eugene Olivier, director of Lorge`s SAP Business One business unit, said the objective is to provide MKB management with a consolidated view of the entire business at any time. The SAP Business One solution includes General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Warehousing and job costing.
A feature of the solution will be the implementation of QlikView, a business analysis and intelligence software suite that integrates and unlocks the full potential of ERP, financial and other business-related databases, creating a single multidimensional view of all business information.
"The combination of QlikView and SAP Business One will allow MKB to harness, analyse and translate sales, financial and associated data into meaningful business intelligence," said Olivier. "MKB will be able to quickly and easily identify strengths and weaknesses as well as potential opportunities and threats in its marketplace."
Lorge has commenced implementation of the solution and it is expected to be fully operational by February 2008.
