Mid-market ERP business and technology solutions provider Lorge has won a contract to supply, install and commission a Pastel Evolution accounting software system and business solution for MaPa Cleaning Technologies, at its Longmeadow Business Park headquarters in Modderfontein.
Justus Swanevelder, general manager of Lorge`s Pastel Evolution business unit, said the software includes the core module offering of general ledger, debtors, creditors and inventory, complemented by six add-on modules to meet MaPa`s specific needs for multicurrency, serial number tracking, bill of materials, manufacturing and multi-warehousing.
The system is scheduled to go live on 1 March 2008.
"The business has achieved consistently high growth since opening in 1998. Now, with more than 40 employees, and several comprehensive ranges of imported and locally manufactured industrial and commercial cleaning machines, which include high pressure cleaners, vacuum cleaners, floor sweeping and scrubbing equipment, high-pressure accessories, hygiene brushware, mopping units, consumables and car wash equipment, MaPa needs a fully integrated, scalable, flexible and robust management tool, to provide a holistic view of the business, as well as all of the accounting detail," said Swanevelder.
MaPa Cleaning Technologies also undertakes turnkey car and truck wash installations, providing not only the cleaning equipment but also the civil and structural requirements.
The company has strong ties with the international Interpump Group through IPC (Integrated Professional Cleaning) based in Cremona, Italy.
MaPa deals with leading brands from within this group, including Portotecnica, Interpump, Soteco and Euromop. An extensive range of accessories from Meccanica Veneta and PA is offered through the high pressure cleaner division. Other represented agencies are Haug B"ursten hygiene brushware, HPP high pressure pumps, Nicolini electric motors and six vacuum motors.
