A locally developed point-of-sale (POS) and order entry software program, isoPOS, has been installed for Dulux Botswana at Francistown. The software integrates seamlessly into an ACCPAC accounting system at the head office in Gaborone.
AST Namibia was approached by Dulux to assist with the sourcing of a POS system that would integrate into Dulux`s existing ACCPAC for Windows Advantage Series 5.2 software.
Andy Tee, MD of AST Namibia, contacted isoPOS in Johannesburg and within a week the isoPOS point-of-sale solution had been implemented by the Botswana branch of business and financial software reseller and solutions provider Lorge, for Dulux at Francistown. A daily download of all sales and receipts now integrates directly into the head office ACCPAC system.
"The isoPOS solution has been running successfully at Francistown for five months now," said Jurgens Snyman, Lorge`s Botswana branch manager. "The Dulux head office at Gaborone is now able to better manage the overall business as the overall sales position, stock quantities and statements of account can be accurately monitored on a daily basis."
Karl Wagner, managing director of isoPOS, said the software is highly flexible, allowing data captured at multiple till points to be fully integrated into ACCPAC modules. "This enables companies to record and monitor stock levels and cash transactions in real time, improving controls and streamlining the overall merchandising process."
