Lloyds selects Pegasystems BPM
Lloyds TBS has selected the Smart Investigate for Payments solution framework from Pegasystems, as it looks to drive improved operational efficiencies and customer service in payments exceptions handling, reports CRM Today.
Smart Investigate is to be Lloyds TSB's 'correspondence' exceptions handling solution for international payments, and is a key component of the bank's broader strategic international payments (SIP) programme.
The SIP programme is designed to provide a more scalable and flexible infrastructure in delivering a consistent, high-quality service throughout the group.
BPM integration kit released
SeeWhy Software has released the SeeWhy Business Process Management (BPM) Integration Kit. The toolkit will help organisations take advantage of real-time analytics in a wide range of business processes, according to Businesswire.
By using the kit, any BPM product can be integrated using business process execution language or proprietary process definition languages like JBoss jPDL.
BPM and business rules engines manage the flow of processes and rules, but both provide limited analytic capabilities. They also struggle to handle time-series analysis and the personalisation of processes or rules to individual customers, products or transactions.
Progress Software, Lombardi partner
Lombardi and Progress Software Corporation have formed an alliance to jointly market and sell the Lombardi Teamworks BPM platform and the Progress Sonic ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), according to Businesswire.
"The new generation of BPM software is event-driven, services-oriented and an increasingly important component of an integration stack. Combining ESB and services management capabilities with a BPM is critical for success in an SOA environment," said Maureen Fleming, IDC programme director for Business Process Integration and Deployment Software.
"Offering an ESB and BPM infrastructure to enterprises interested in end-to-end SOA capabilities will enhance both products' position in the market."
