Lefatshe Technologies, the South African black-owned security solutions provider and sole supplier of Webroot SpySweeper to government, will be a silver sponsor at this year's Government Technology Conference (GovTech) to be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 21 to 23 August.
The conference is, once again, hosted by the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) and is the SITA's second annual summit. It is also a vehicle that creates a platform for thought leaders from across the globe, in government and industry, to exchange ideas and impart information on ICT.
Lefatshe's main focus will be its array of security solutions and services and will, once again, feature Webroot's internationally renowned desktop security software, SpySweeper.
Other products and services that will be featured will be Lefatshe's active radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies and information management solutions.
"Last year, Lefatshe played a major role in providing security products, services and solutions to government through SITA," says Cheslyn Mostert, chairperson of Lefatshe. "This year, I am pleased to announce that we have more than doubled our delivery to government through SITA, without compromising our commitment to quality and professionalism.

Now in its second year of existence, GovTech 2007 is expected to attract high-level delegations from provincial, local and national government. The delegations should be populated by government departmental CIOs, directors general, assistant directors general, ministers and deputy ministers.
