Leading German industrial manufacturer, STAHLWILLE, chooses ERP solution from IFS

STAHLWILLE to integrate IFS Applications across the group to increase efficiency and streamline businesses processes

IFS has been selected to provide a corporate ERP solution for STAHLWILLE, one of the leading toolmakers in Europe.

STAHLWILLE is currently using IFS Financials, but will extend its use of IFS Applications to include components for engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, sales, distribution, and human resource management throughout the group, in an order valued at over EUR1 million.

STAHLWILLE has been using a mix of home-grown and individual proprietary business software that is currently slowing down the development and expansion of the company. Many of the solutions control specific manufacturing processes such as CAQ, DMS, customs clearing, EDI, CAD, and shop floor reporting. To streamline its processes, STAHLWILLE will implement IFS Applications across all business areas of the group.

CEO J"org Czempisz comments: “We need a complete ERP-solution for our enterprise which will enable us to set up consistent processes across the business to increase general efficiency and customer orientation. By implementing IFS Applications, we can reach this target and can raise our competitive position significantly. As a company, we have innovative concepts to help us deal with changing markets and increasing customer demands, IFS Applications will place us in the perfect position to realise these plans.”

Peter H"ohne, Director Sales & Marketing at IFS, adds: “STAHLWILLE is a client and partner that fits perfectly into our portfolio and highlights our competency in the industrial manufacturing arena. We are delighted that we can implement, based on the existing business connection with STAHLWILLE, a fully integrated ERP solution that will benefit its business all over the world.”

STAHLWILLE will adopt IFS Applications in all operations of the group. The implementation will take place in two stages, completing by 31 December 2011.

Industrial manufacturing is one of IFS' targeted markets. IFS has a broad customer base in the industry, focusing on medium to large-sized manufacturers that need support for complex order-driven and mixed-mode manufacturing across the extended enterprise. With strong support for project management, engineering, advanced scheduling, product configuration, and after-sales support, IFS' component-based business solutions are designed to help companies improve quality, contain costs, and improve their competitive position in manufacturing industry segments such as machinery, defence, fabricated metal products, and plastics. Industrial manufacturing companies also benefit from IFS' lifecycle management solution, which goes beyond product lifecycle management (PLM) to provide better integration and management of three critical business areas - products, customers, and resources - throughout their lifecycles.

IFS Industrial Manufacturing customers include Aeromatic-Fielder, Star-Cutter, J&H Machine Tools, Konskilde, Nolato Group, Bombardier, Partnertech AB, Mechanik Center Erlangen GmbH, V"olkl and Johnson Pump.
