King Pie Holdings is South Africa`s newest mobile marketer after independent third party research revealed that Mira Networks` WebSMS smart messaging solution was most suited to the franchise`s internal communication needs.
Research commissioned by King Pie found that Mira Network`s WebSMS smart messaging solution was flexible and avoided the "spray and pray" approach of most bulk SMS applications by enabling effective segmentation of a mobile database.
WebSMS enables King Pie Holdings to communicate with all 280 of its franchises as well as almost 1 000 counter staff.
King Pie Holding`s Marketing Manager, Ronelle Vorster said "WebSMS provides the perfect opportunity for SME`s to reduce communication costs while boosting franchisee satisfaction through increased contact with head office."
The inefficiency, expense and poor penetration of the postal system means that smart bulk messaging applications offer a compelling and cost effective solution for SME`s wishing to reach an audience of almost 25 million cellular users through mobile applications like SMS," said Sean Conde, CEO of Mira Networks.
WebSMS is available as a white-labeled desktop application with the ability to transmit targeted bulk SMS messages to customers of all three networks at prices lower than commercial SMS rates.
White labeling refers to a service or application branded in the name of an organization and provided anonymously for the clients of that organization by a third party.
Features of WebSMS include the ability to target specific customers with personalized information relevant to their interests and even to communicate internally with employees according to their skills, function or job title. This immediately limits customer irritation at receiving text messages of no importance to them.
"WebSMS is particularly effective is with ongoing promotions. The application enables us to timeously remind our franchisees to take advantage of special offers while informing cashiers simultaneously," says Vorster.
