Premier ACCPAC solution provider, AccTech Systems, is to install ACCPAC Advantage Series Corporate Edition for Intercare.
The healthcare provider currently operates five integrated medical facilities, three in Gauteng and two in the Western Cape, and plans to double this number by 2006. A typical Intercare Medical and Dental Facility houses a comprehensive array of general practitioners, medical specialists, nursing services, dental health professionals, physiotherapists as well as offering pathology, radiology, clinical research and a pharmacy.
"The key module for Intercare is ACCPAC`s General Ledger Security by Segment, "says Keith Fenner, director solutions and business development at AccTech Systems. "With this module, Intercare will be able to define security at branch level as well as produce reports across all branches at group level, thus implementing a single database and reducing costs."
Intercare`s financial and IT manager, Pieter Niemann, says the new system will enable branch accountants to access general ledger information for their particular branch, without being able to see the real-time general ledger structure across all the branches.
Intercare has also invested in ACCPAC`s Business Intelligence module, ACCPAC Insight. "Insight`s Digital Dashboard allows us to instantly pull real-time financial statements, including detailed branch performance analysis, enabling us to better manage the group."
He says that with Intecare`s move into the Western Cape and more expansion planned in the coming 18 months it was vital to have a system that could meet the increasingly complex demands of the business while improving financial control.
"ACCPAC meets both criteria and we were also impressed at its track record for reliability and stability over a wide area network."
