Local analytics software as a service (SaaS) provider inQuba has been selected by non-profit business accelerator Endeavor to participate in its skills development programme.
The New York-based Endeavor Entrepreneur programme supports high-impact entrepreneurs around the globe by offering them a life-long opportunity to receive guidance and development support.
The business accelerator operates in countries identified as 'emerging markets' across the globe, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay and SA.
InQuba was one of 18 organisations from 15 countries selected by Endeavor, following an international selection panel (ISP) held in Stellenbosch, last month.
The company has developed a SaaS platform that offers services such as journey management, customer experience, text analytics and case management to organisations across various sectors.
InQuba co-founders, COO Trent Rossini and CEO Mike Renzon, were the only local entrepreneurs, and two of 25 entrepreneurs, selected at the 84th ISP.
Rossini explains: "Our selection is in recognition of the fact that we are a high-growth organisation with a highly differentiated value proposition, and will give us access to capital, access to highly successful, international business people and the resources Endeavor holds.
"The Endeavor network spans 34 countries worldwide, with over 1 600 selected entrepreneurs, which means that inQuba has expansion opportunities through partnerships and easier access into those markets."
Launched in 2010, inQuba has customers and operations that span four continents: North America, Europe, Australia and Africa.
Its key clients include: The Edcon Group, FNB, WesBank, Absa, Cell C, Telkom and Liquid Telecom.
Rigorous selection process
The selection of entrepreneurs took place over an average of 12-18 months, where the founders followed a rigorous, multi-step process to have themselves and their businesses evaluated locally and globally on their potential for high-impact growth.
All selected Endeavor entrepreneurs get access to a number of services from Endeavor, including introductions to local and global business mentors, access to growth funding and volunteers from Fortune 500 consulting firms.
"Due to the direct mentoring and support inQuba will receive from the global Endeavor network, our clients will benefit from world-class product and service enhancements as well as thought leadership to further their customer service programmes and initiatives.
"We [inQuba] are hoping to expand our global presence with Africa firmly in our sights. We aim to leverage strategic input from Endeavor with their presence in Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt and Tunisia."
