Impact Africa chosen as a preferred solution supplier by Cape Town Iron & Steel Works

Cape Town Iron & Steel Works (Pty) Ltd (CISCO), a wholly owned subsidiary of Murray & Roberts, recently chose SYSPRO ERP software, locally distributed by Impact Africa, an EOH company, as its preferred enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution supplier.

Currently in the process of rolling the system out into all of its branches, John Tennent, financial executive for CISCO, says: "With the implementation of SYSPRO, we are able to benefit from meaningful operational reports that assist with managing the business more effectively. From a financial perspective, we are able to produce monthly management accounts within eight days, which is quicker than our previous system."

Tennent also commented that since the integration between Translution and the SYSPRO Sales Orders module, any incorrect loading at the dispatch stage has been eliminated. "Previously, stock counts were being done daily, but since the implementation of SYSPRO and the effect of bar-coding, goods are scanned immediately out of stock which has resulted in our levels being accurate and in real-time."

After a successful trial implementation, the partnership was 'set in steel' as CISCO signed a long-term managed services contract with Impact Africa, making the company its official ERP supplier.
