IBM brings cloud BPM

IBM is adding new capabilities to its business process management (BPM) offerings and giving partners the ability to offer cloud-based BPM as a service with the upcoming release of the Blueworks Live suite, says CRN

Blueworks Live, which IBM will make available to the channel next month, gives users access to a 20 000 member-strong community while providing the ability to automate simple processes. IBM said more than 200 000 processes are already modelled and documented.

The cloud service lets users create lightweight BPM applications for expense management, document approval and other tasks while adding the ability to structure and automate ad-hoc processes in 90 seconds - processes that presently run over e-mail and attachments.

LTFC invests in an ActiveVOS BPM

A content management services company, LTFC will integrate BPM software to generate new, more efficient workflows for projects, says KM World.

LTFC has chosen Active Endpoints' ActiveVOS business process engine. With the new solution, LTFC says it can remotely interact with and update third-party systems, as well as its own internal technology, to enable clients to benefit from more efficient workflows.

Dave Harris, director of engineering and technology at IFTC, says: “We chose the solution because it offered an industry-standard platform and good development tools for an affordable price.”

Pegasystems looks into healthcare

Pegasystems, a player in BPM software solutions and a provider of customer relationship management solutions, has announced several enhancements that address the healthcare industry's critical business imperatives, states InfoTech.

Officials with Pegasystems say the product enhancements are further supported with transactional automation and business-friendly decision management to sustain optimal straight-through-processing of claims and authorisations.

According to the company, Pegasystems' solutions are widely used by major healthcare organisations including the three largest US health plans, two of the four largest pharmacy benefit managers, several leading healthcare delivery systems, and US government agencies at the state and federal level.
