Hyperion No 9 in Forbes Dynamic 100

For the second consecutive year, Hyperion Solutions, the leading provider of analytic application software for reporting, analysis, modelling and planning, has earned top honours among the world`s leading technology companies in a ranking of the Forbes ASAP "Dynamic 100".

Hyperion soared from No 20 in 1998 to No 9 in the Software category in 1999, ranking above software vendors such as Microsoft and MicroStrategy in this year`s list. Missing from the 1999 rankings are enterprise software vendors Oracle and SAP.

According to the article, "Forbes ASAP interviewed scores of analysts, money managers, and venture capitalists, asking them to rate more than 300 companies on the six factors we believe define dynamism in a technology firm today." Hyperion earned its top 10 ranking by garnering an average score of 4,58 out of 5 across categories such as "responsiveness to change", "market opportunity "marketing expertise", "human capital", "alliances and partnerships", and "prospects for growth".

Hyperion Solutions Alliance Partners were honoured across several categories in the Dynamic 100, including hardware vendors (in order of ranking): Dell, Sun and Compaq; and software vendors (in order of ranking): i2 Technologies, Sterling Software and JD Edwards.
