Global hydraulic manufacturer Hydac International has announced it has implemented Cisco's Unified Communications 500 Series for Small Business as part of its strategy to expand operations in Africa. The company appointed local converged network provider KSS Technologies to implement the solution.
The Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series for Small Business is a simple, smart and affordable solution designed specifically for growing businesses. It integrates industry-leading, business-class, proven unified communications technologies (voice, data, video, security, and wireless) into one platform and facilitates integration with commonly used desktop applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, IBM Lotus Notes, and CRM software.
Hydac Technology managing director Peter Hoerting says the Cisco Smart Business Communications System (SBCS) is the perfect solution for Hydac's growth plan in Africa. “It is a complete system of voice, data, video, and wireless networking products for small businesses. SBCS provides a new way to communicate, enabling highly secure access to information anytime and anywhere, while helping us work together more efficiently and effectively.”
Hoerting says Hydac maintains exceptionally high standards worldwide and will only work with competent organisations like KSS Technologies, which was highly recommended by the German Chamber of Commerce. “Although we worked in close co-operation with our head office in Germany and flew an engineer out to connect the system, KSS provided a brilliant service, they are always available when we need them.”
The industry-leading Cisco Unified Communications applications and hardware, including the full line of Cisco Unified IP Phones and networking solutions, are now available to small businesses. The Cisco Smart Business Communications System provides a unique, comprehensive business communications solution with tightly coupled voice, data, video, network security, wireless mobility, and system management that other vendors simply cannot provide. Its components were designed to be deployed individually or as a complete system, allowing one's business communications to evolve as the needs change.
KSS Technologies managing director Andr'e Maree says it is a great honour to work with such a large global organisation like Hydac. “This is a true reflection of our commitment to deliver value to our customers. We realise that today's businesses face relentless pressures and therefore help our customers boost productivity through better communications, simplify business processes, and ensure they get full value from resources and applications, and also manage their costs effectively.”
“The system is easy to deploy and use, and it scales to accommodate business growth. In addition, KSS provides an end-to-end service and support that can help increase our network's business value and return on investment,” says Hoerting.
“SBCS provides Hydac with greater business agility, the ability to quickly access and act on information at any time, from anywhere, with any device. Whether working in the office, from home, or remotely, employees get a highly secure connection to the system to reach the right resource the first time and do their jobs regardless of location,” he concludes.
