Hitachi Data Systems announced today that TMC, a global, integrated media company, has named Hitachi Content Platform Anywhere as a 2015 Cloud Computing Storage Excellence Award winner, presented by TMC's Cloud Computing Magazine.
The Cloud Storage Excellence Award recognises companies that have introduced or improved cloud storage solutions. The award honours vendors who provide unsurpassed cloud storage, as well as storage efficiency for their customer base.
"Congratulations to Hitachi Data Systems for its ability to show maturity and expansion of the cloud storage market through innovation and product quality," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. "We are pleased to present HCP Anywhere with a Cloud Storage Excellence Award for its commitment to advancing cloud storage solutions."
Hitachi Content Platform Anywhere is an enterprise mobility solution that stores, synchronises, protects, and shares workers' content so they can work from anywhere, at any time on any device and easily collaborate on it in shared workspaces. Corporations that provide these services from within their own IT environments retain complete visibility and control over their corporate data to ensure proper security, governance and data placement.
HCP Anywhere is part of the multiple award-winning Hitachi Content Platform portfolio, which is the only integrated solution that brings together object storage, file sync and share and file gateways to create truly secure, simple and smart cloud storage solutions. The portfolio consists of Hitachi Content Platform, Hitachi Content Platform Anywhere, and Hitachi Data Ingestor. It is easy to set up, manage, maintain and adapt as business needs change and technologies evolve. With the HCP portfolio, IT organisations and cloud service providers can easily store, share, synchronise, protect, preserve, analyse and retrieve file data from a single system. By avoiding the need for separate systems for each workload, HCP can apply data protection, compression and deduplication across a consolidated environment, making it much more efficient and cost-effective. It also offers a much faster time to value for customers, and time to market for service providers by eliminating the hassles of do-it-yourself integration. No other object storage solution in the industry rivals the depth of HCP integration across workforce mobility components and security features both on premises and across public clouds.
"We are thrilled to be selected as a winner of the Cloud Computing Storage Excellence Awards," said Peter Sjoberg, chief technology officer (CTO), Cloud and Mobility, Hitachi Data Systems. "We are passionate about bringing secure, enterprise mobility to the workplace. We will continue to deliver a platform that provides unsurpassed cloud storage for today's mobile workforce."
The Hitachi Content Platform portfolio is also the recipient of the TMC 2015 Cloud Computing Excellence Award.
