Postilion, a leading provider of open payment applications systems for financial and retail organisations and a division of S1 Corporation, today announced that Getronics Hungary, a provider of information and communications technology (ICT) services and solutions to the Hungarian market, is offering an outsourced ATM and POS processing solution based on the Postilion payments processing engine.
Using Postilion, Getronics Hungary will be able to offer its customers an end-to-end service, covering transaction processing, card issuing, authorisation, and switching of payments to Visa and MasterCard.
Getronics has already signed its first outsourcing agreement with a Hungarian bank and is looking to grow this customer base significantly.
"We saw a great opportunity in Hungary to bring to market an end-to-end outsourced payments processing solution. To deliver this service, we had to find an application which was as open as possible and able to integrate with a wide range of systems," said Attila Papp, Sales Manager for Financial Business Solutions at Getronics Hungary.
"Postilion enables us to offer a comprehensive and secure payments processing service that will have great appeal to banks, and potentially retailers, that want to outsource this part of their business. Postilion's open-systems approach means that we have been able to build a wide range of services into our offering and will have the flexibility to add new functionality as demand and opportunity arises."
Andrew Marshman, EVP for Business Development in Central and Eastern Europe for Postilion, added: "Postilion's customers choose our technology because of its flexibility and the opportunity it provides for innovation, which results in significantly lower costs over traditional systems. With a first Postilion customer already on board to prove the business case, Getronics is now able to offer replacement solutions of other in-house systems and a unique low-cost outsourcing service for banks and retailers in Hungary."
