Fujitsu Siemens Computers` range of desktop computers won the prestigious Channel Champions title in the Computer Reseller News (CRN) annual Outlook Awards.
Mark Wilson, managing director of Fujitsu Siemens Computers, says: "I am delighted that we have been recognised by the industry in this category. This is affirmation of the quality and reliability of our product, and shows that the reseller community is becoming more quality- and value-focused. With our factories in Germany winning international quality awards this year, the recognition is a tribute to the exacting standards set by Fujitsu Siemens Computers for all aspects of the business.
"This is the first time that Fujitsu Siemens Computers has been recognised in these awards. We are growing our market share in the highly competitive reseller market, and achieving recognition for brand and product quality."
Fujitsu Siemens Computers achieved further recognition at the awards, finishing runner-up in the handheld computing category.
The CRN Outlook awards have made their mark as the premier barometer of success for vendors and distributors in a number of categories according to the South African solution provider community. Distributors and vendors are rated according to communication and services offered and CRN`s readers decide on the winners based on their own experiences over the last year.
Research is conducted in-house by the CRN team, and is focused on all sectors of the channel, including solution providers, VARs, system integrators and resellers, all of which are surveyed on a national level.
The survey was placed on CRN Flash, CRN`s electronic bi-weekly magazine and was also conducted telephonically.
