Kaseya (http://www.kaseya.co.za), a leading provider of information technology (IT) automation software for public and private sector organisations, today announced that Event Information Technologies (Event IT) has adopted its IT Automation Platform to deliver managed IT services to small business customers. By using Kaseya to centralise, simplify and automate network and systems support, the IT services company has reduced visits to customers by 80%, enabling Event IT to support a much larger customer base without hiring additional engineers.
At the first phase of the deployment, Event IT is using Kaseya to centralise the management of more than 300 servers and desktops through an integrated, Web-based interface. Constant systems monitoring, coupled with the automation of key procedures and tasks such as patch management, running virus scans and deletion of unwanted temporary files, is enabling Event IT to improve response times and minimise downtime for end-users. Event IT intends to increase the number of supported devices to more than a 1 000 computers over the next six months.
Kaseya's remote control also eliminates the need for engineers to travel to customer sites to carry out routine systems maintenance or fix problems, making Event IT's operation highly efficient. By ensuring solid administrative procedures and IT policies, customer sites can be standardised as much as possible and therefore maintained and supported highly cost-effectively, with lower prices passed on to customers as a result.
