The rise of mobility is one of the most significant trends in the IT space today. Capitalising on this trend, Far South Networks will be demonstrating its latest cloud and unified communications as a service (UCaaS) solutions at the popular MyBroadband 2017 Conference, taking place on 26 October at Gallagher Estate, Midrand.
Far South Networks is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of IP telephony platforms. Its products integrate robust communications hardware with open standards-based telephony software applications, to build easy-to-use platforms for the converged voice and data market. This enables SMEs to strike the right balance between capex and business requirements.
There is an evolutionary shift shaking up the workplace, where mobility is now core to digital transformation, explains Grant Broomhall, MD of Far South Networks.
"Employees' work styles are changing: staff are demanding increased flexibility, which leads to better collaboration and higher productivity; offices are trending towards common spaces, huddle rooms and conference areas; and workers are using multiple internet connected devices in the workplace under a mix of device ownership models," he says.
"Businesses have also found that when they enable their mobile workforces with devices and applications that allow them to respond more rapidly, they become more productive, improve customer service and collaborate more effectively. Far South Networks delivers exactly what they need in this respect, through the application of cloud- or premise-based PBXs and the Wanderweb UCAAS solution."
Broomhall suggests that the company's CloudX9 Cloud PBX, together with Wanderweb UCAAS, is perfectly designed to enable the digital transformation of the workspace. What's more, he adds, these solutions deliver enterprise level communications services to businesses of all sizes, without any need for fixed investment, and while maintaining the required security and compliance levels.
Far South Networks, one of the event sponsors, will be demonstrating a range of exciting solutions at the MyBroadband Conference, including:
* Significant enhancements to its existing PBX and SIP Gateway product ranges. A turbo charged Wanderbox, for example, that now supports 30 concurrent calls and sports a dual Primary Rate ISDN interface (PRI). There is also higher density PRI support within the Com.X10 range of PBX and Gateway products, specifically designed for enterprises.
* Wanderweb UC, which is now available as a Service on Android, IOS and Web browsers, enabling users to be securely connected to their business via any device, in any place and at no additional cost.
* A view of its upcoming Cloud PBX platform, CloudX9, supported on both public and private cloud infrastructure. This solution will enable resellers to deploy dedicated PBX services to their customers, on the cloud infrastructure of their choice.
"The MyBroadband Conference is always a vibrant event, renowned for bringing experts and organisations in the ICT space together, so that knowledge and innovations can be shared in what is always an exciting environment."
"Far South looks forward to seeing all its Johannesburg customers once again, as well as new service providers we may not have had a chance to engage with before. We invite everyone to come and see our newest solutions in action at our stand - and to entice you further, there will be a chance to win a UCAAS-enabled Wanderbox for deployment at the clients of your choice," he concludes.
