Digital Voice IP has launched its new disaster recovery telecommunications service called Emergency Voice, according to PR.com.

Based on its successful Digital Voice VOIP Business platform, Emergency Voice represents the latest innovation in VOIP Technology. It offers customers a level of efficiency, support and reliability in deploying a function-rich business phone system not seen in traditional DR telecoms solutions.

James Goodman, CEO of Digital Voice, said: "Big business has the budget for expensive and elaborate disaster recovery sites, but smaller businesses... find it more difficult to justify the high costs of disaster recovery, and many choose not to invest in these systems at their own peril. A unique monthly Events Alert service has been launched by technology research firm Gibson Index, says Public Technology.net.

The service will ensure local authorities, economic development agencies, NGOs, NHS organisations and other public bodies don't miss out on important business events.

The calendar provides full details about each event, including date and venue, organiser contact points and Web site, plus a brief summary of its more interesting aspects - enabling local authorities to maximise opportunities to meet SMEs.

You Telecom has announced a partnership with Elitecore Technologies to provide security solutions to SMEs across India, reports The Economic Times.

You Telecom will provide the Cyberoam facility, an identity-based unified threat management appliance, to bring a strong and unique security solution to its leased line and SME customer base across the country.

The company, which is India's second largest private broadband Internet service provider (ISP), will also act as a national system integrator partner for Cyberoam.
