Driveshafts Centre, a leading fitter and supplier of constant velocity joints in South Africa and user of SYSPRO enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, has recently partnered with EOH business unit, Impact Africa, to upgrade to the latest version of SYSPRO V6 Issue 009.
As opposed to each branch performing its own administration staff, the upgrade has resulted in the use of terminal services centralised to the Cape Town head office.
Founded by Gary Leach in 1984, the company started off as a warehouse in Parrow. Today Driveshafts Centre has branches in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria, with seven franchises in various parts of the country. As a supplier of assembled driveshafts to the company, both Driveshafts Manufacturing factory and Driveshafts Centre are SABS accredited with the ISO 9001 status. They are also the only companies in its field to have acquired this prestigious award.
"Upgrading to SYSPRO V6 Issue 009 has made the world of difference to the business. Problems are more easily resolved due to accessible real-time information within SYSPRO, enabling management to make better informed strategic decisions," says Beverley Drape, financial manager at Driveshafts Centre. "Improved controls are also in place for more proficient staff management and navigation of the system is simplistic."
"We found Impact Africa`s service to be excellent and the team took us through a very smooth and seamless upgrade. We also experienced very little downtime countrywide during the upgrade transition," says Draper.
Realising that businesses cannot run efficiently without a real-time ERP software solution in place, Draper believes that by partnering Driveshafts Centre with Impact Africa and the SYSPRO ERP system, management of business processes, clients and staff is much more effective.
