This year's edition of the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) exhibition promises to be the biggest in the event's 14-year history, with at least 20 000 trade visitors from more than 28 countries. On show will be some of the most advanced defence and security technology on the market. DefenceWeb will be contributing to the high technology on display with the launch of the industry's first, totally free defence news application for iPad, iPhone and Android.
Proudly sponsored by industry giant Paramount, the application will be launched at the defenceWeb stand, in Hangar 5 at Air Force Base Waterkloof. It will be available for free download from the Apple App Store and Android marketplace.
Readers will be able to get the latest aerospace, defence and security news right at their fingertips with the defence industry's first app that gives completely free access to defenceWeb's comprehensive defence and security news content, updated on a daily basis.
As one of the leading media partners for Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012, defenceWeb's launch of this application will enable the publication to broadcast all the news of the show as it happens, putting the news in readers' hands.
To further showcase its position as Africa's leading defence news portal, defenceWeb will be giving away three brand new Apple iPad 3s, sponsored by steel plate specialist VR Laser. To stand a chance of winning, all entrants have to do is subscribe to the free defenceWeb newsletter at AAD.
DefenceWeb's fourth birthday will be celebrated on 17 September, just before the launch of this year's edition of AAD, making it the perfect time to launch yet another industry-first, groundbreaking news service.
